There are many “Grey” areas–and some of significant importance. If the Holy Spirit is showing believers God’s “truth”, then why would they disagree on such points?

Nice one. Broke my head about this question long time.
1. I come to the simple conclusion that if any statement, in name of what God, is against the scriptures of this God, then it is not of that God.
2. The fruits of the spirit are absolute and can be observerd; Joy, peace, kindness, etc.
3. The texts I read about the holy spirit tell me that He opens our eyes about the apparent reality we live in. This is the belief about the truth of what the Bible claims to be true.
4. Claims abouth truth can have accent differences. As many denominations focus on different aspects with certain importance. This is the main reason for the denominations.
So far no problems with the Holy Spirit (at least not for me)
5. Remain the claims about themes that are grey, like ‘what clothes do we wear’, ‘what is allowed on Sunday’, etc. I do not believe any absolute claim about this to he the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Only if any matter is settled with the fruits as a result (believe, Joy, peace, etc.) then this is of the Spirit.
